About this deal

Its subtle high notes removed, I find Lolita Lempicka completely linear and lacking whatever quality that kept it from seeming before like a vulgar joke. This scent is UNIQUE it has an earthy note , like a dirty soil note in it, its powdery, a little bit sweet and just magical. You won’t really notice any difference between a product purchased from Perfume’s Club and a product purchased from a seller in our new Marketplace.

Fast forward to today, it seems more mystical, like a midsummer nights dream fairy forest with purple ivy and vetiver growing underneath fresh moss from Wonderland. A talented, romantic and sophisticated woman, she created her brand Lolita Lempicka in 1983 and began her own fragrance collection with the help of her husband and later her three daughters. Its scent evokes memories of fall, reminiscent of a spiced dessert, but without an overpowering sweetness. And here, the tart-sweet cherry note is pivotal, bridging the gap between LL’s sweet girlishness and its dark hinted promise. I have used this fragrance for 20 years, I don’t know if they have removed anything from the fragrance but it’s definitely not the same , it isn’t so strong and does not last like it used to, no one can smell it on me !This is my second time sampling and I like it much more this time, I'm actually surprised at how well the cherry note pops out on this one, I don't remember it at all last time. The combination of sensuality and seething passion will suit the lady, who at first glance seems fragile and defenceless.

Lempicka's designs are also influenced by "the thirties and forties and their lace and silk negligee dresses, 18th-century Baroque and its dainty marchionesses". It smells like conversation hearts (which was interesting, maybe it's the sweet and powdery notes being reminiscent of the heart shaped chalk candies), a very light cherry, and *bleh* something terrible, like in repulsive way. I'm not that keen on the spray part of the bottle's design as there is no cap over it, but that's a small point. Its close to Guerlain's La petite Robe, but much better and is less sour cherry, that was so atrocious/sharp in La petite. BTW I'm not sure what formulation I received other than it being a little vial of Lolita Lempicka EDP.the toffee-like praline that finally appears when the fragrance is warmed by breath or sweat is almost like a candy lure to draw you into an enchanted woodland, where you will be irretrievably lost. It's really nice, I don't really like the taste of licorice but always liked the smell of it, in this it's cozy and inviting. It turns sweeter to the nose after 1 or 2 hours of wear but still, I wouldn’t qualify it as a sweet perfume. On that occasion she published a book celebrating 20 years of design (« Lolita Lempicka : 20 ans de création"). Product photos are for illustrative purposes and may not reflect the actual product that you receive.

The new one feels a bit too juvenile for me (late 20s), but this one is sweet and fun while feeling less childish. It's very likeable, but I guess I expected something more mysterious and complex, at least based on some of the reviews. If you're an "outside the box" type of person and you know the dark is nothing to be afraid of and that it's actually quite lovely, you owe it to yourself to at least try this now-classic.Lolita's three daughters Elisa Melodie (born 1975), and twin daughters Paulina Leonor and Lauren Leslie (1983) are all actively involved in Lolita Lempicka. Not quite sweet enough to be a gourmand, nor spicy woodsy enough to be unisex, nor green enough to be considered fresh.
